ESP8266 Examples ==== This is a collection of examples for the ESP8266 Wifi board, written for the Arduino IDE. Most of these are based on the original Arduino WiFi library. Some are based on the ESP8266 WiFi examples. I wrote these following the [Arduino example style guide](https://www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/StyleGuide). I tested these using an [Adafruit HUZZAH! ESP8266 module](https://www.adafruit.com/product/2471), and some custom boards I built using the [ESP-12](https://www.adafruit.com/products/2491) and the HUZZAH! design. You'll need an [FTDI serial-to-USB](https://www.adafruit.com/product/284) adapter to program the boards, because the programming serial rate is non-standard. [Adafruit's guide to setting up the ESP8266 in Arduino](https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-huzzah-esp8266-breakout/using-arduino-ide) is a good introduction that you'll need to follow to use this code. _-Tom Igoe_
