Plot does not download as png/svg

I am trying to export an image to SVG. The image is not downloaded and I get this message in the browser console.

I am not sure what this is trying to tell me.

Apparently this is related to issue:

#2623

The download works in Firefox, but not Chrome. I also use an iframe.
