Reviewers needed for major connection pool changes

jackc/puddle#24 has been submitted on puddle, the resource pool that pgxpool is built upon. It should significantly improve performance when the host is under extreme CPU usage. My initial review of the code is favorable, but it is a rewrite of the core locking / concurrency mechanism. This is the type of code that is really important to be correct, but is also difficult to ensure is correct.

As most people here probably aren't watching that repo, I'm posting here to request additional reviewers and testers.

Initial experience has been positive. This has been merged and released as puddle v2.1.0.

You can now test it with your project simply by upgrading puddle:

go get github.com/jackc/puddle/v2@v2.1.0

I'd still appreciate more experience reports before bumping the dependency in pgx and upgrading everyone though. If you can give it a try and it worked please give it a thumbs up. If it doesn't work please post your results.

Given #1354 was deadlock bug in puddle that v2.1.0+ fixes and all feedback so far has been positive I've decided to upgrade the puddle dependency for pgx v5.1.0.
