Is there calibrate function like the one in SparkFun lib?

Sorry. I am very new to Arduino. Although my reading of acceleration on BLE Sense is quite accurate, I also read that IMU calibration is important. I searched online found that the SparkFun library has a calibrate funtion.
Will something like this be included?
