Observable Data Table Cell in ojs cells

Hello,
I came across DataTable Cells in Observable notebooks (see [1]) and it's very nice! I was thinking I could load a parquet file and display it in a DataTable Cell.

Is such a thing possible? The examples see are like viewof table = Inputs.table(tablenam) but Inputs.table is not as feature rich as Data-Table cells.

Best way to know is to try.

Note that from my understanding your view is an IDE feature and not the product of the actual code.
If you want to display your table you need to use a library that does that.
And from online documentation, nothing is blocking you from
Adding filter, search feature to Inputs.table().
Overall, your question is mostly about what Observable.js can output rather than a question about Quarto CLI itself.

I didn't know how to try, with Inputs.table examples seem to indicate viewof table = Inputs.table(tablenam) but for Data Table Cell I didn't see any such code base invocation and it does seem , as you pointed out, an IDE feature specific to Observable notebooks.

Inputs.table() is nice, but Data Cell table is far richer.

Look for a Observable.js library/module that does that, not for an IDE feature which is not relevant in Quarto as Observable.js code cell are for evaluation in the browser after rendering.
