Incorporating fastDMF as a custom model

Hello! I am starting a project with fastDMF and I like a lot of the features that the library has. Would there be a lot of implementation overhead if I try to call the fastDMF from a CustomModel? I understand that custom models are more suited for implementing the equations themselves
