PThread: What is the best Threading Model for Rendering

Hi,
Because of various operations are proxied to the main browser thread, I am wandering, what
is the best threading Model If my App does Rendering and I/O (FS and HTTP) Tasks, assuming that Rendering FPS is in the first priority:

1. Rendering in the Main Thread and I/O in the other Threads
2. Both of them - Rendering and I/O runs in other threads (Not in the Main Thread).
