Google Docs Conversion Doesn't Work Properly #157

I use Google Docs to write blog posts. I use Gemini to help with some of the research. Google Docs editing tools are much easier to use and much more intuitive than either of the WordPress editors. My only goal is to push content from Google Docs to WordPress and have the content converted without having to touch it again. But invariably I have the following errors:

  • Images don't come over properly. WordPress tells me that the content is invalid. When I look at the HTML it looks fine. I have to view it in the HTML viewer and then preview it, in order to see it properly. Not sure what the problem is and I don't really care at this point. I just don't have the time to keep messing with this.
  • Indented text didn't convert to indented text. I looked for over 90 minutes for something button that would indent the text for me and couldn't find anything. And there was no button that allowed me to bullet the text. How can you be missing these simple buttons from an editor. Even the tool that lets you report these errors in Github can handle that and seems to have more power in it, than what you've built.

These are not complex documents. They are mainly text with a few images in them and links. The text has basic formatting in it like bolding, indenting and bullets. This should be the simplest of test cases to validate, so I don't understand how something so simple in nature could have these problems.

Please fix this.
